West China Medical Publishers (WCMPs) were established in 2006 and are affiliated to West China Hospital of Sichuan University. WCMPs are responsible for the editing and publishing of 14 medical science journals (9 Chinese and 5 English). Journals of WCMPs have been included in the databases such as EI, MEDLINE, CSCD, Peking University Chinese Core Journal Catalog, and China Science and Technology Core Journal Catalog. Besides, the journals of WCMPs have successively won awards such as "China Excellent Science and Technology Journal Award", "Chinese University Outstanding Journal Award", "China International Influential Academic Journal Award" and some other awards. Two journals have been selected by China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering as the category D project of the "China Science and Technology Journals International Influence Improvement Plan". In recent years, WCMPs have not only cooperated with Nature Publishing Group and Wiley-Blackwell Publishing Group to publish English journals, but also fully realized the electronic and networked journal publishing, which has already had an important influence in related fields at home and abroad.
