在人口老齡化背景下，老年人口已成為醫療保健服務需求最大的人群，解決老年人的康復醫療問題是當今社會面臨的重要挑戰。老年人與年輕者的康復相比，最顯著的區別是其伴發病所帶來的負擔較大。多科協作小組形式是老年康復醫學中科學合理的工作模式，可改善患者的生理功能，提高患者的日常生活能力、降低死亡率和患者、家庭及社會對康復結局的滿意度。通過對老年康復醫學概念與內容，多科協作小組工作模式在老年康復醫學中的應用現狀，小組成員在老年康復臨床醫學中的角色與功能及該模式應用成效的闡述，旨在推廣多科協作小組形式在老年康復醫學中的應用。
