視網膜色素上皮（RPE）移植是目前世界上視網膜研究的熱點之一。實驗證明，RPE移植不僅能拯救變性的視網膜光感受器，而且可能有預防視網膜新生血管和進行基因治療等多方面的作用，該項技術現已初步用于臨床。現對RPE移植的供林材料選擇、手術技術、手術效果、并發癥、可能的作用和臨床試驗進行綜述。
