        • BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS ON TISSUE ENGINEERING RESEARCH LITERATURES

OBJECTIVE: To comprehend the progress of tissue engineering research and speculate its developmental trends. METHODS: MEDLINE search was conducted to retrieve the papers published between 1987 to 1999 under the main headings of tissue engineering. Years, nationalities, languages, journals, authors and heading frequencies of 314 papers were analyzed by bibliometrics. RESULTS: Since 1990, the number of tissue engineering research literatures had doubled, and papers between 1998 and 1999 made up 57.96% of the total papers. All papers came from 15 nations, in 6 languages and 140 journals; 64.97% came from United States and 25.79% from England, Netherlands and Germany; 93.95% was in English; 42.04% was published on 15 journals. Vacanti JP and 19 other authors presented 5 to 24 papers. Heading frequencies were cytology 22.89%, transplantation 13.30%, scaffolds and extracellular matrixes 11.72%, implanting 10.60%, polymers 8.91%, potential applications 8.91%, artificial substitutes 6.88%, tissue culture 6.70% and biogenetics 4.96%. CONCLUSION: Tissue engineering literatures mainly come from United States, England, Netherlands and Germany. English is the major language. J Biomed Mater Res and 14 other journals are important journals about tissue engineering research. Vacanti JP and 19 other authors are prolific authors. Cytology, transplantation, scaffolds and extracellular matrixes and implanting are hot topics and key points on tissue engineering research.

        • Interpretation of intervention description and reporting standards (TIDieR) and visual analysis of application status in China and abroad

ObjectiveTo interpret the intervention description and reporting standards (TIDieR), and further present the domestic and international application status of TIDieR based on knowledge graphs. And to provide references and inspirations for standardized reporting of intervention studies. MethodsTIDieR-related literature published in Chinese and English databases such as CNKI, WanFang Data, PubMed, and Web of Science was searched from 2014 to 2024, and visual analysis was conducted using CiteSpace6.3.R1 bibliometric software. ResultsTIDieR consisted of 12 entries, including abbreviated intervention name, implementation rationale, implementation materials, implementation process, implementer, implementation method, implementation site, implementation time and intensity, personalized plan, plan changes, expected effects, and actual effects. The bibliometric analysis included 94 English-language papers and 5 Chinese-language papers. The application of TIDieR was relatively widespread overseas, mainly involving health care, rehabilitation, and digital health fields. ConclusionTIDieR can ensure the standardization and reproducibility of intervention research reports. However, domestic scholars still apply TIDieR less frequently. It is necessary to gradually promote and strengthen the application of TIDieR in future intervention studies, thereby improving the transparency and quality of intervention research reports.

        • Bibliometric Analysis of Chinese Research Papers on Biofilm

Objective To investigate the development of biofilm research over the last 10 years in China based on a bibliometric approach. Methods We searched PubMed (1997 to 2007), China Hospital Knowledge Database (1997 to 2007), and VIP Chinese Journal Database (1997 to 2007). Quality assessment and data collection were performed by two reviewers independently. The amount of literature, research institutions, financial assistance, and contents of biofilm research were analyzed. Results A total of 240 Chinese papers were included. Colleges were the leading research institutions in China, and most of research focused on pseudomonas aeruginosa and staphylococci, primarily based on in vitro models. Available antibiotics were the main measures for biofilm control. Only 4 RCTs with a C grade in terms of methodological quality were included. Conclusion Biofilm research in China can keep pace with the international development, but its integration with engineering, material science and immunology needs to be strengthened.

        • Research status of hospital management in foreign countries: a bibliometric analysis

Objectives To evaluate the research status of hospital management in foreign countries using bibliometric analysis, in order to provide reference for domestic hospital management. Methods The Scopus and Web of Science databases were searched for hospital management related studies from inception to May 30th, 2017. The publication date, document type, country, affiliation, publication distribution, citation, and co-authorship of included studies were analyzed. Results During the past 20 years, the amount of hospital management related studies presented an increased trend, and original article was the major article type. The USA, UK, Germany, France, Japan, Australia, Austria, Italy, Spain and Canada were ranked as the top ten countries that had published the most related studies. Moreover, most of the affiliations which published the related studies were from the USA, UK and France. The results of co-authorship analysis indicated that some researchers existed close co-authorships. Conclusions Developed countries have better researches on hospital management and can provide a good reference for domestic researchers.
