        • Research on adaptive quasi-linear viscoelastic model for nonlinear viscoelastic properties of in vivo soft tissues

The mechanical behavior modeling of human soft biological tissues is a key issue for a large number of medical applications, such as surgery simulation, surgery planning, diagnosis, etc. To develop a biomechanical model of human soft tissues under large deformation for surgery simulation, the adaptive quasi-linear viscoelastic (AQLV) model was proposed and applied in human forearm soft tissues by indentation tests. An incremental ramp-and-hold test was carried out to calibrate the model parameters. To verify the predictive ability of the AQLV model, the incremental ramp-and-hold test, a single large amplitude ramp-and-hold test and a sinusoidal cyclic test at large strain amplitude were adopted in this study. Results showed that the AQLV model could predict the test results under the three kinds of load conditions. It is concluded that the AQLV model is feasible to describe the nonlinear viscoelastic properties of in vivo soft tissues under large deformation. It is promising that this model can be selected as one of the soft tissues models in the software design for surgery simulation or diagnosis.

        • Impact of Surgical Treatment on Quality of Life of Patients with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

With the advancement in modern medical technology, the treatment level for lung cancer patients and subsequent survival rate have been greatly improved. Survival time has been gradually replaced by quality of life (QOL) to evaluate treatment outcomes of cancer patients. In future clinical studies, QOL assessment can be used as a prognostic factor in predicting patient survival time, and even as the ultimate goal to evaluate the effectiveness of lung cancer treatment. Currently there have been few studies about the correlation between surgical treatment for lung cancer and QOL in the world, and most of those studies have some shortcomings and limitations. This review summarizes the correlation between surgical treatment for patients with non-small cell lung cancer and QOL mainly from following aspects:firstly, QOL definition and common assessment tools to evaluate QOL of lung cancer patients, secondly, the impact of surgical treatment on QOL of patients with non-small cell lung cancer, lastly, the application of QOL evaluation and new prospect.

        • Foundation, logic, and path of constructing a supervision system in public hospitals under the modern hospital management system

In the context of deepening healthcare reform and advancing the high-quality development of public hospitals, constructing a supervision system aligned with the modern hospital management system has become essential for ensuring strategic implementation and improving governance effectiveness. This paper systematically examines the three foundational pillars of such a system: the theoretical foundation grounded in scientific management principles, the historical foundation rooted in China’s governance traditions and the Communist Party’s experience in policy execution, and the practical foundation driven by the persistent challenge of “policy implementation gaps.” It further elucidates the internal logic of the supervision system as an integrated framework comprising four interrelated dimensions: core conceptual constructs, multi-dimensional value orientations, foundational coordination mechanisms, and innovative operational practices. Furthermore, the study proposes a strategic pathway centered on “renewing institutional momentum, optimizing structural design, empowering through digital technologies, and advancing systemic reforms,” thereby providing theoretical insights and practical guidance for the standardized development and refined enhancement of supervision mechanisms in modern hospitals.
